The hotel was located in a beautiful spot overlooking the estuary, offering great views and access to a wonderful restaurant. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with a spacious bathroom and a coffee machine provided. However, there were some issues with missing condiments and a key problem that disrupted our stay.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the room was beautifully refurbished with a comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom, the noise levels were quite bothersome. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff and a great location in the heart of Fowey. However, I found some of the prices overrated, especially when it came to dining options.

Rooms

The room had a great view of the quay and was luxuriously designed, but it was quite noisy at times. The bathroom, though advertised with a bath, only had a shower room.

The staff provided excellent service, being friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They were particularly patient with guests loading and unloading bags outside the hotel.

The hotel's location in the center of Fowey by the seafront was superb and picturesque, making it easy to explore the charming narrow streets and enjoy summer evenings by the water. However, some prices seemed overpriced for the overall value.

7.4/10

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, though initially faced issues with the pillows and lack of fridge, turned out to be smartly furnished and cozy. However, noise from the surrounding area was a downside, especially for two people sharing the room. The service was excellent, although we encountered conflicting stories from the staff and a surprising overcharge. The location was exceptional, right on the waterfront with stunning views, while the dining experience had its ups and downs. Overall, the hotel offered a unique stay with some room for improvement.

Dining

The dining experience had its moments, with lovely dishes but also some disappointments like overcooked food and burnt pastries.

The facilities were adequate, but some room for improvement in the dining experience.
